Since 2016, we’ve been working with Let’s Talk Science, a national charitable organization focused on delivering exceptional science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning experiences to Early Years – Grade 12 youth and educators. In 2016, in collaboration with the Institute Without Boundaries, we designed and led the largest Canadian youth consultation for Let’s Talk Science about the future of STEM education. From coast to coast, ‘Canada 2067’ engaged over 1000 grade 9&10 students to reimagine what we learn, how we learn, where we learn, who’s involved, and issues of equity. The insights generated by youth contributed significantly to the broader Canada 2067 initiative, which sought to catalyze education transformation. We are currently working with Let’s Talk Science to integrate Human Centered Design principles in the development of a new national climate action project for youth in grade 7-10.
Bonnie SchmidtGroundswell Projects has been an excellent partner for Let’s Talk Science. Their human-centred design processes and collaborative approach to working with our team and tackling problems has always resulted in innovative solutions for our educational programming.
